Gamble With Love

love is a gamble sometimes you hold all the high cards
you win the pot and everyone is happy and content
but other times your hand holds all the losing cards
when you gamble with love you dont always win

i envy those who can win for lifes happiness is theirs
never knowing what real love was i didnt know where to look
when i thought i had it all i found how blind i really was
when you gamble with love you dont always win

i could probably tell you what it should be like but id be wrong
and it wouldnt really be realistic it would only be a dream
lost souls need love but only if the other one was never lost
when you gamble with love you dont always win

it would probably be to my best interest all around and others too
if i stayed alone not try to be someone im really not at all sure of
and keep my heart safe from yet another breakdown two is enough
when you gamble with love you dont always win
