 Carol's Journey

In Memory of My Mom

It was four years ago today
I remember it like yesterday
You entered Heaven's gate
God's timing is never late

I will never fully understand
But I know it was God's plan
You suffered in so much pain
Freedom you would soon gain

I often wonder what took place
When you saw your Savior's face?
Your body no longer sick and lame
Perfect in His sight, feeling no shame

I imagine the joy you must have felt
As you bowed at His feet and knelt
To hear Him say to you “well done”
Because of your faith in God's Son

People have written books on Heaven
How it will be perfect twenty-four seven
We can learn what the Bible has to say
The rest we will see clearly someday

The time is now to prepare for that place
Make certain you are saved by His grace
Stand firm on His promises and obey
Knowing He may call you home today

Revelation 21:1 (NIV)
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for
the first heaven and the first earthhad passed
away, and there was no longer any sea.
