Overnight Express

Over the speakers came a musical sort of chime;
The slightest of jerks and we pull away on time.
An over night express from Point A to Point B,
A couchette compartment, this woman and me.

I'd held back the door for her to pass through
She'd smiled and nodded a pleasant thank you.
Now we are chatting at the start of this night
And maybe just maybe if things go just right
She'll slide gently into my arms
For each to enjoy the other's charms.
So speak to me gently
Speak to me low
Tell me things
You want me to know
My life is there
Like a battered guide book
Each page open
There for you to look.

This promises to be of a night of sweet excess;
Just man and a woman on an overnight express.
Ploughing its way from Point A to Point B
A couchette compartment, this woman and me.
