You Never Learned to Dance ღ KKD ღ
You Never Learned to Dance
Oh the love
that once was shared
You remember...
back when you said you cared?
If I had read the last page first
Would I have stepped thru that door?
Even knowing in a million pieces
my heart would lie upon the floor?
You took something so beautiful
and made it ugly and cold
Helplessly I stood and watched
the nightmare reality unfold
My mirror image
I thought I had found
but you are nothing like me
I would never push you to the ground
What was shared
at our very start
will forever be held
deep with in my heart
Even knowing what you gave
was self-serving and fake
It was for a short time
a dream I wished to make
The spark with in my heart
you have finally put out
You will never rekindle
that I know without a doubt
The dance we danced
was heaven short lived
The dance you missed
You knew not how to give
I pray you never
walk the path you led me down
I pray you never
hear your own hearts ripping sound
So to you my dear
I bid thee farewell
I walk away with head held high
relieved to be free of your killing spell.
I pity you
in this your missed chance
You know not of love
for you Never Learned to Dance
