 More Shorts (a.k.a. Schizophrenic too)
We find what we seek, when bitterness and distain aren't far from our thoughts and lips; the world then seeks not to disappoint us. - Manea

Glass towers are looking at me through windows from other worlds, and my future calls me forward.
The red on the canvas glows and I recognize the faded blue sky filled with humidity,
The dark shadow burns deep crimson, and I remember where I've seen it before,
San Francisco,
Like Denver,
Will claim me someday.

We so want to be free of the opinions of others,
But it is only in juxtaposition
That we find where we fit
On the scale of humanity.

I hate the way a car full of Mexican men
Look at women,
And I find it hard to give
Up my bigotry
When they are raping women
In front of me
With their eyes
And cat calls.

Religious brutality will never prove that God exists.— Manea on Fundamentalism

I am an American
So I can't speak for the rest
Of humanity…
But WE are insane,
And we collectively agree to it!
Daylight savings time,
IRS Tax codes,
Fascism disguised as democracy
And the subjugation
Of an entire nation
To a man with an IQ of 90,
To make decisions
For the rest of us.
The Insane part is,
However powerless we may feel,
We let him.

Everything I will ever say, will fade away, but feelings and stories will be remembered.--- eh…

Cats can't be lazy.
They'd have to have a purpose
To be too lazy to
Accomplish it.
As far as I can tell
They do a great
Job of just being a cat.
Dogs at least have to fetch or catch
And they can be too lazy
To do this or that.
But a cat?
What do they
HAVE to do?
Besides bug their humans
For food and attention?

What is synchronicity? Other than paying attention to the conversation the universe is trying to have with you. – Manea

Technological bigotry
Is starting to get on my nerves.
Imposing one's
Selectional views of one statistic
And ignoring all others
Is like a Christian fundamentalist
Ignoring the fact that
The Bible has contradictions.
Studies  and Bibles show,
What we want to find…

Funny thing is
I've been busting my ass
To get my schooling
And get a PhD. so that
My professional opinion
Will matter, just a little more.
When today I heard a PhD
Say that people were more
Impressed with the fact that
She could make pickles
Or sew, than the fact that
She was a PhD.

Does it speak more
Of her or of her audience?

Whether one smiles at you or glares at you, both are judgments. – Your reaction to it speaks more about you, than they do. – Manea

I'm the pot so I can't call the kettle black. (but I can tease them about it) – Manea
