 If Love Had A Name

Many names we all go by
But one special, within them lies
A love not found, at least for now
Someday you'll know, some way, some how

It seems to play inside your head
Under silk sheets, upon your bed
Making right what is so wrong
Complete the feel where one belongs

You shy away with hope they stay
To bring out what in your heart plays
Innocent the child now grown
Used up minutes on one's cell phone

Their name rings softly in your ear
Awakes the dead your heart once feared
This name brings out the best in you
It's warmth you feel when spoken too

The skip your heart felt while alone
The beat not heard but name it moaned
Is that of one and only one
Who holds, undoes what someone done

If love had a name, it would be yours
Who puts the sure, in reassure
Who claims to all, it's love for one
Each day, till breath in one there's none
