One True God
You have a faith but 'tis unknown,
Of the god that sits on your throne;
Worshipping as to be alive,
Invincible and will survive.
This god is the reason you live,
But is he able to forgive;
After you have done something wrong,
So agony does not prolong.
A god you do not really know,
Or about how his blessings flow;
And not made Heaven and earth,
Nor giving any creatures birth.
You make idols to honor him.
But, in tough times when things look grim.
He can not help you through the strife,
Nor promise you an eternal life.
The true God is through Jesus Christ,
As the Son who was sacrificed;
Through faith your sins be forgiven,
With a promised home in Heaven.
