I Wish You Well
To Jennyfer on her 28th, Happy birthday love you always will, Mum xxx
I wish you well sweet daughter mine
And `though I`m far away
I could not forget you
On this your special day
Getting older is just fine
So long as we can see
That life is really wonderful
And just how it should be
Twenty-eight short years have passed
Since the day you came
Make each moment last and last
Live it in Gods name
Adopted, yes, not of my flesh
But that does not really matter
For you have claimed me as your own
No need to hear the patter
Of your tiny feet when small
Because I love you hen
In your daughter I can see
What you were like back then
Have a happy day today
Make all your dreams come true
Lay your plans and if planned well
Then good will come to you
Life is such a rocky path
And yet you will still find
Living, loving wonderment
If you are, just kind
