My heart, I keep in a chest of drawers
Far from the eagle eye
Of pretenders.
I have been bound by love calls
Far too often,
And I am fragile and broken.
In here,
Lay on softest cushion,
And oceans away from life's abuse,
I am content.
A silver key
Holds me to safety,
And the silence is a rhapsody.
For now,
Loves heavy chains have
Tethered me to despondency and pain.
Maybe, when faith is restored,
Passion will manifest and
Loves beacon will shine bright.
Only then will I open the lock
And venture to love again……
