9      11.........MY    PRAYER    TO    YOU

My dearest friends across the
United States of America.
Although we do not know each other
My heart goes out to you all today.

May I join in your special prayers of remembrance?

Though hundreds of miles away in the UK,
I can recall with the greatest pain, the
Indescribable event being reported here.

What had begun as a normal day,
As most others usually do,
Turned into a nightmare on a scale
I couldn't comprehend.

All day, I sat in front of the TV,
Watching catastrophic pictures,
In deep shock for the people
In those buildings, and unforgiving
Torment that their family and loved ones
Were going through.

The intense affection I have
For the American people
Is immense in itself, but
Multiplied a million times
Upon that tragic occasion.

They say “time heals”.
Well, it doesn't really.
We have to learn to live with a situation,
We find a way to work round it, but
Those fateful memories
Will be etched into our eyes for ever more.

They will not be forgotten.

My sincerest respect and love to you all.
