KIND-HEARTED WOMAN

Can I be forgiving and act
Like Jesus would be
Love being the fact
That sets hate free

Can I be peaceful and pray
Like Jesus would do
And turn away
To my other cheek for you

Can I be patient and kind
Like Jesus taught men
Could my eyes be blind
To what I see as your sin

Can I be from his rib
Like God made woman for man
Our love not a fib
Believe that love's your plan

Can be full of trust
Like God who is here
Be quiet I must
When you go home to there

Can I be one flesh with you
Like God says man and woman become
A kind-hearted woman too
Let the jealousy be numb

Can I kill it with attitude
Like God's words of calm
Forgive you though you're rude
As you live with your roommate mom

Can I be a better woman for you
Like God's the best man for me
You tell me you're true
So I'll change my attitude and we'll see.
