Black Eyes…Oh Yeah!!
Now I haven't had any black eyes,
Since the other flippin' tumours!
But back then I had a baldy head,
And you should have heard the rumours!!!
So this time I'll have 2 shiners again,
But nope, no baldy head!!
Well thank flip for that says she!
Cos it really has to be said!!!
I didn't like the baldy part,
But the shiners brought a laugh!
My mum was stopped over and again,
Asking who it was that beat up her Cath!!
Well glory be, I think they thought…
That it was all just an excuse,
And that I'd been given a shiner,
And we were using a ruse.
But when the swelling went down,
Oh blimey, they felt so bad!
Thinking I had been beaten up!
Now really, ain't people so sad?
So the swelling went, thank God for that!
Cos I was such a shocking sight!
In fact I have to tell it true,
It gave all my kids an awful fright!
So I had to go away for some weeks,
Cos they were terrified of me!
So I went away to heal and mend,
And it took a long time you see!
And now once again I'll be black and blue,
I'll feel like a kid once again!
Showing off my shiners to all!
And revelling in the fame!
Well, I wont, but it rhymes!!!
