Septembers SongThe winds of fall will soon follow As summer ends where we once wallowed In pools aqua and under shade Umbrellas stuck on beaches played The warmth of Sun will dissipate As will our dips to saturate Our souls we tanned with oils of gold Now dry, alone, with hearts gone cold Leaves will fall from where they hung Strip tease our show had just begun Of Yellow hues and browns once green As we both kissed, lit by moon beams On bed we'd lay and also rolled With you gently in arms I'd hold Upon white sheets, whispers we'd share Of Summers end we both now bare Septembers song, sings its way in A taste of winter set to begin But for now it holds your touch Of Summers scent, I loved so much Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
