 Resting in His Peace

Sometimes the world is just not fair
There is disappointment everywhere
But God has given us what we need
If His Word we will take time to heed

Whatever situation it is that you face
God's hand you may not easily trace
Rest in Him, for He has it all in control
No one can take the joy from your soul

You may not fully understand His plan
The reason is not always revealed to man
That is why we need to trust God's heart
Remain faithful to Him and do our part

When I look back on things in my past
Sometimes it becomes clearer at last
I can see how God taught me His ways
Helping me through the difficult days

I find when my mind tends to wander
I am not focusing on my home yonder
That is where all our thoughts should be
The place He is preparing for you and me

It is so easy to get bogged down in this life
But God wants to free us from all the strife
If we realize each moment is a gift from God
He will give us strength on the path we trod

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NIV)
For though we live in the world, we do not wage
war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with
are not the weapons of the world.  On the contrary,
they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that
sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and
we take captive every thought to make it obedient
to Christ.
