LOOKING BACK






   LOOKING BACK  








I sit and think of what I miss
And all the time of doing this
I just forget to look and see
Just what is staring straight at me.



I never look at what I`ve got
I tend to think of what I`ve not
And by doing this I am sure
I`ve missed the opening of a door.



Too busy am I looking back
I tend to stray right off the track
Now I intend to mend my ways
And count my blessing and give praise.



Don`t look back is what I'm saying
Because no amount of praying
Can ever change what`s gone before
It`s past and, therefore, is no more.



I`ll look and see just what I`ve got
I bet I`ll see I`ve got the lot
And then I`ll realize for sure
I need not look back any more.
