A Prayer of Confession
I pray that the Lord will hear,
Everything that I fear;
With the trouble I am in,
Straying to a life of sin.
Dear Lord please hear my plea,
So I am able to flee;
For I know that only You,
And could come to my rescue.
I know you never forsake,
Although it is my mistake;
And responsible for this mess,
But know that you can bless.
Because of your mighty arm,
You can protect me from harm;
That has been caused by this flaw,
Because of breaking Your Law.
I ask that You please forgive,
So in peace that I can live;
Creating in me a clean heart,
For giving me a new start.
