Perfect Prescription
Pharmacist, Donna her name
Would soon be due and not the same
As life she'll bring into this world
" Olivia " daughter, her first, a girl
The month October, the year 07
Gods gift, angel, sent from Heaven
To hold and love to bring her joy
To grow, be chased by love struck boys
Challenge unlike she will take on
Midnight feedings, this brand new mom
Will know of love, unknown before
Changing diapers when up at four
She'll tend rashes she knew and had
Bug bites, scratches, boo boos with dad
Blowing candles and celebrate
While dad worries about first dates
Pink and green outfits will draw
Attention to her tyke who'll crawl
Before too long first steps, then walk
Amazing them when she first talks
More amazed how she will use
Cell phone minutes, text msgs abused
Where all girls talk of what's his name
Boyfriend, heartthrob, future last name
But today and for awhile
This new creation and precious child
Will be just what the doctor ordered
Perfect prescription and loving daughter
