I Cannot Let Them In
I have forty foot smurfs,
Knocking at my door.
I cannot let them in,
For my thoughts are on the floor.
My legs move slowly,
Towards the wooden door.
Fear pushes me back,
As I fall to the floor.
Their blue faces,
Looking inside the window pane,
Burns my eyes with fear,
As their smile goes insane.
I cannot let them in,
I cannot stand beside.
For they will tear me up,
And reality shall hide.
I stand up again,
As my eyes are red with fear.
I cannot let them in,
The pain I cannot bare.
I fall to my knees,
On the hard surfaced floor.
I cannot let them in,
Forty foot smurfs no more.
