O shining Star of great delight,
burning in thy purest light
What lies in the heart of thee?
Have thou reached thy highest height,
burning with the purest bright,
In the strength of eternity?
Mightier Stars have rose and fell
A third of angels
and Satan as well
In the fires of the passionate sea
Though you shine, but is it love?
Eying places of heights above
to settle and be
You claimed a throne,
but angels cry
Placing thyself in the highest sky
Only to burn out in manifold destiny
