Poetic Verses
Changes
Life changes like Autumn
when the leaves do fall
in bountiful color
one and all
Our consistency unshackled
Wit now has been spent
Straight path once traveled
now twisty and bent
Shuffle through yellow and red
as they lay
Opportunity to choose
before earth turns to gray
When skeletal trees
as they reach to the sky
resemble our hopes
before life passes by
Life is a chance
that will change on a whim
Sweet lay one path
that soon will grow dim
Yet in final hour
turn ye not back
Inevitable the changes
before life turns black
9/21/07
when the leaves do fall
in bountiful color
one and all
Our consistency unshackled
Wit now has been spent
Straight path once traveled
now twisty and bent
Shuffle through yellow and red
as they lay
Opportunity to choose
before earth turns to gray
When skeletal trees
as they reach to the sky
resemble our hopes
before life passes by
Life is a chance
that will change on a whim
Sweet lay one path
that soon will grow dim
Yet in final hour
turn ye not back
Inevitable the changes
before life turns black
