T V OBSESSION!
His face is a picture
As he sits in a trance
He likes watching football and
I want to go out ‘n dance!
Come footie season he's lost
To the action on the green
And I have to vie
To attract his attention from the screen!
I cook a romantic meal
With candles and flowers
He snaffles it in seconds
Where it used to take us hours!
I'm left clearing the dishes,
He screams for his beloved team
I come up with another plot
To scupper his dream!
I dispose of my clothes
And come over all coy
He says I'm distracting
And spoiling his joy!
Tomorrow night's my weekly treat
I know he'll be mad
TV's showing those hunks wrestling
Oh boy, are they bad!
