 Clean hands Now

I washed my hands
and saw the reside in the sink.
I beheld all that I had touched,
the evidence was black and left a mark
on the foundation of me.
I saw how deep I was in the clay.
I felt how deep I was stuck.

I was confused and saw the days pass.
Every day ran together and I
lost many opportunities of peace.
Prisoner to my mind,
I was unable to find rest,
I was unable to see my way.
Around the same confines I went along.
Searching for a inspiration,
Looking for a light.

My hands let go of the clay,
I was tired of trying to make something out of
hard clay.
So I washed my hands.
I am finished
and can no longer try.
