GOING TO THE DOGS


My dogs want me to be arising
My pain so intense I'm realizing
That I better take a pill
Or I am going to be too ill

To take these dogs somewhere
They can run because I care
About them more than myself
Throughout this decade, they'll improve my health

By forcing me to take the lead
To get out in this sun and feed
The pain in me with nature strong
Perhaps find comfort in the sun's song


For my dogs and I now.
