 WHEN YOU'RE GONE

It's quiet here as the budgies talk
It's sunny outside as cars go down the block
Feeling calm trying to be satisfied
With this life I have after love died

The television is off there's peace
The turmoil in my soul will cease
Feeling inspired by what I think
Riding the poetry away from disaster's brink

That's in my mind
I will treat me kind
Since you won't do it
Just as though I knew it

It's you at home with her
Things go on as they were
And you won't right it
So when you're gone, I won't fight it.
