JasmineOn my kitchen window sill It sits all alone still Each day I look and smile It has been a while It was just a baby When you lovingly gave it to me It was such a little thing Who knew what happiness it would bring Once again its beginning to bloom Its sweet fragrance scents the room Such tiny, light, white, delicate flowers Sun shines on it for hours Leaves deep dark and green Like nothing I've ever seen Its presence is so dear Like having you near When the day is through Whenever I water or feed it, I think of you I watch it grow each day In my home it will stay On my kitchen window sill It sits all alone still © 2007 Janet Irene Griffin *Thank you Mom for my beautiful Jasmine plant. It happily grows with love. Vote for this poem
