Halloween

For decades, it seemed like
fun.

We would dawn our scary masks
and dash into the dark
hoping to fill our sacks
with treats of joy and love.

Halloween was like no other
night.

Today, every day seems like
Halloween, as the news is
full of fright.

Halloween, as we remember
it to be is sadly no longer safe.

I feel a need for it to change,
maybe it could become Peace Night.

Right!
