CASTLES IN THE SKY
Eerie memories of a hundred years
When soldiers stood atop the turrets
Viewing a vast landscape and
A watchful eye for the foe
A castle in stone and
Walls three feet thick
And dungeons below
Stealthy step was quick
Legions of men
Mere boys of their time
Ready for fight
Shoulder to shoulder in line
Though now those walls echo
To dreams in the sky
Where princesses lived and
Phoenix would fly
Arise from the ashes
Of legends in the dark
Early mornings arrive with
Melodious song of the lark
