Love To Me
Define the word that makes and breaks
The heart you have that gives and takes
The pain sustained when you don't feel
The love you chase so very real
It runs and hides and plays the game
Of hide and seek calling your name
Sometimes faintly so you will hear
Whats left of love you once endeared
It's young at heart yet aged with time
It tears apart yet like fine wine
It soothes the thirst barren of touch
Inside of us, needed so much
It lifts you up to bring you down
It saturates feelings unwound
Immersed in souls makes all seem right
Passion unlike provoked takes flight
We live to die sometimes for it
Just like a glove, perfect it fits
Around your heart where it resides
Where peace of mind truly abides
We give and take excess at times
We press ourselves only to find
If we just let it be we'd see
What love is to you and me
Love to me, is what we breathe
To sustain life, our very need
For without love we have nothing
To make complete a life suffering
Love to me is unlike yours
Yet similar as it is pure
