TIME PASSES
Time flies by so quickly
Make the most of every moment
Surely it was only yesterday
That I was packing you off to school,
Tie crooked,
Books pouring from your bag,
Late for the bus,
Forgotten lunch money.
And now you tower over me in stature
And that chubby little face
Oozes confidence and kindness.
You were my first-born and
Neither of us had a clue about
This mother-baby lark.
Especially me!
Time teaches us all we ever need to know.
Your children will be so proud to follow your footsteps.
