Petals In The Grass

Strange Faces

Disheveled people
I stop to stare
No one to hold them
Nobody to care

Their faces look blank
Strangers to me
Don't see a smile
None full of glee

Alone in this world
They walk about
Want to make them sing
And hear them shout

Quietly they go
Always seeming to fall
Pretty people make fun
At the beggars to us all
