When Will This Pass
I've lost myself in what appears
My gift to write has disappeared
Just like that, I now wonder
What has become of words we ponder
Maybe left out the part of me
That sees what still has yet to be
My Lord of late, seems I've left out
The best of me, we've wrote about
Squander this gift that GOD has given
Forget the path I walk forgiven
Yet in each write, poem we birthed
We second guess, verbal net worth
We write of aches that no one sees
We write for GOD who oversees
All things in life including this
Have I given the Judas kiss?
Cross we bare as all and must
Bare life's weight in GOD we trust
Yet in my heart that pains each day
My soul cries out what more to pay
Petty pain compared to CHRIST
Who chose to pay the highest price
His life for mine and yours not worth
His sentiment before our birth
Impatience, ungratefulness
Divides, cuts up my faithfulness
Yet still he holds unto this man
Who faints in faith, who should be damned
When will this pass I ask today
Failure, success shortchange I pray
That half a heart may once again
Mend itself with will and bend
When will this pass, GOD only knows
Our time will come and closer grow
