Penniluck's legacy
Bird On The Wire
A little bird who answered my whistle and visited me every day as I sat on the deck. New Zealand 2007
My little bird upon the wire
Singing in its lonely choir
Sitting high above the sea
Singing sweetly just for me
Calling to me through the air
I am here and you are there
As I fly above the foam
We may meet again at home
Hark! another feathered friend
Helps his broken heart to mend
As she softly sends her love
From the trees so high above
Then they fly away together
Through the shimmering sunny weather
Not alone I hear their cry
Remember this is not goodbye
