Money
It's just money
green on paper
outside changes
but inside please stay the same
because one day it could be gone
all it is....is social standing
because it can't....
Buy you out of pain
can't secure happiness
or promise fame
it's just a means to buy
material things
Don't get me wrong
money is essential
without it we can't survive
but it's not a God
shouldn't be ruler of our lives
because if you are betting
that it will cure your problems
then look at the mess
money has started
because it can't....
Buy you out of pain
can't secure happiness
or promise fame
it's just a means to pay
those pesky things called bills
Buy your way out
but it's just time
one day it will be written
it's no longer mine
the truth is often found
where money don't lie
