 Carol's Journey

Even in Pain

Even in pain will I place all my trust
In Him to whom the nails were thrust
My pain is small and does not compare
To what Jesus suffered for me up there

Just the other day I had pain in my ear
But I knew the Great Physician was near
My doctor then wrote up a prescription
I found relief by following his instruction

Some other symptoms developed that day
In my sinuses and mouth, not going away
God would be my strength until I could find
An answer to these problems and peace of mind

I went to my dentist, he couldn't figure it out
I placed it in God's hands and refused to doubt
Then I called the nurse and my doctor had a plan
To radiology I went the next day for a CT-scan

The motion of the table makes you a little dizzy
But by reflecting on Scripture, I was not uneasy
Before I knew it the test was over and complete
Soon my doctor will call and the results repeat

Whatever the outcome, I am always in God's care
Today modern technology helps people everywhere
God has gifted so many with knowledge and skill
To aid in diagnosis and treatment, when we are ill
