Poetry For Everyday People

Flying

Left unsaid
we walk away
not knowing
how
blood flowing quiet
as a rose opening

left unsaid
are the words
stranded shy
moonlit
jasmine smells magic
healing in words

I can't say
goodbye nor
hello stranger
but
I dug your face
sincerely

diner pie n' coffee
free nights open
white lines
better
driven over fast
on your way

can't take in
what's lost
forgive now
you
for what you did
to survive

what's left of us
hard beautiful
even magnificent
darkness
the truth
wings of our minds.
