Fearing Foes
Enemies face us through life,
Only adds to our strife;
Wearing out weak and weary,
Makes the day go by dreary.
Burdened with a heavy haul,
Causing to stumble and fall;
How to handle you not learn,
Exactly which way to turn.
Feeling as stricken with fear,
You sense they are always near;
Which merely adds to your woes,
Watching your back for your foes.
And so you get less work done,
Gave up hope like he had won;
You value living no more,
Because life has shut the door.
There is no need to be afraid,
Nor bewildered or dismayed;
As long as you keep God near,
You'll not have a thing to fear.
