My Last Life

Surfing through the towering waves
Searching high and low
I came upon a castle
I had lived in long ago.

Suddenly atop my wave
I saw my castle high
O`er the waves, beyond the moat
I felt my body fly.

The huge old gate was opened wide
And someone bowed me in.
I am the Laird he told me
Wherever have you been.

I blushed to think this Knight did care
Although we`d never met.
His smile was like an angel
With tears my cheeks were wet.

He introduced me all around
Each face I felt I knew
Then took me to the Dragon Inn
Where we all had a few.

I heard the chink of armour
The soft rustling of gowns
A party in the castle
To welcome me I found.

Invited on the dais
I heard the minstrels sing
This is your own castle
And we`re welcoming you in.

Your last life was with us here
And because we missed you so
Tonight we brought you back in dreams
But tomorrow you must go.

So I spent a blissful night
Somewhere back in time.
Now I know I won`t forget
This special dream of mine.
