I HEARD IT
I heard a funny noise just then,
Like someone groaning in pain,
I turned around to see who it was,
There was no-one there, that's plain.
And there it goes again, a rumbling echo,
Like a roaring plane, about to take flight,
I turned around to see where it was,
And then I got a fright.
No vehicles, no animals,
No erupting volcanoes to the west,
I turned around to see what it was,
My screaming hunger pangs putting me to the test!
