Ethereal Moments The Poetry of Donavon Scott Vinson
Laid to Rest
A tombstone upon the crest
laid under a tall cypress
(barren and forlorn).
A red rose upon her silent breast,
(I stand silent and alone).
Great sobs escape my chest,
(the winds of change howl through my heart,
and terrible sadness grips my soul).
So terrible this crazy mess.
That laid my love to rest,
(I'm left all alone).
