 I LISTENED TO MY HEART

`Go girl` is what my heart is saying,
`Don`t just sit there quietly praying,
Go and tell him just how you feel
Tell him your love for him is real`.
I try to still my beating heart
It can read my mind it is smart,
It knows I love him beyond compare
But should I tell him, should I dare?
I take deep breaths then walk up to him
I am shaking now from limb to limb,
Standing square on, I look in his eyes
`I Love You` I say, to my surprise.
Slowly now his eyes start to smile
To me he says, `I like your style`,
He slips his arm around my waist
Pulls me close then we embraced.
He tips my chin and looks in my eyes
I know now there`ll be no goodbyes,
`I Love You Too` is what he says
My head spins and I`m in a daze.
He holds me tight and my pulses race
I just love to be in his embrace,
I`m so glad I listened to my heart
Now from him I`ll never have to part.
