God's Pattern
God's Pattern (2 Timothy 1:13)
God's pattern is His way
Of speaking to us all
We need to live each day
And answer to His call
The words within the law
Exposes all our sins
But God He spares the rod
And from His discipline
His words within the Gospel
Reveal His promises
He sent His only son
To save us from our sins
The gift through Jesus Christ
Will save those who believe
He gives Eternal life
For those who do receive
God's pattern keeps us in
The faith and love of Christ
It's time that we begin
To open up our eyes
Faith does not look to self
To give us our salvation
It looks to Christ for help
As is in His resurection
Love focuses on others
The way Christ does for us
Our sisters and our brothers
Must hear the words of Jesus
Receiving Jesus Christ
Through faith and trust in Him
Will make them realize
That with Him they will win
So open up your hearts
And spread the love of Christ
And open up your arms
He put them in your lives
God's pattern is the way
The rules that we must heed
We'll serve Him every day
With our words and deeds
