JUST YOUYou look at me with those puppy dog eyes of yours Huge chocolate drops with a twinkle besides Feeling a surge of sympathy for you and An attraction I cannot begin to hide. You speak to me in those rich dulcet tones The ones that run down my spine in a thrill They seem to be making love to me Then quiet peacefulness they instil. You touch me by your compassionate manner A yearning to reach out your hand An exquisite sensation of ecstasy Burning passion I cannot withstand. It's just you to know which strings to pull To make my fever run at a pace While all the time you encourage me and My heart runs an unruly chase. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
