Spark sizzle explosion.
What can I say?
About the 4th of July
Independence Day
America has lost its spark
Human rights stole in the night
Congress hiding in the dark
Check and balances very stark
Iraq, Afghanistan, where next?
Honest politicians what a lark
Gerrymandering, Electronic voting
Bribing, selling out, the shame
The scandal the thievery, the lying
Why does it have to be?
Are there no honest people
In our capital of Washington DC
Everyday they take more of what we
Thought were our constitution rights
Regardless of wealth or poverty
I wonder do they ever look in a mirror
And do they like who they see
Or do they live in the world of shimmer
The sizzle is here but it's been bought
Fireworks, sparklers explosions
WE THE (who) almost a word forgot
