 Earthquake
Rumbling deep inside the ground
People ran from buildings
The rumbles came again and again
As if the earth had forgot to spin
But, everything continued to move

The day the earth shook
Glass shards fell like daggers
From way up high Almost to the sky
Concrete bricks and steel
Spewed down on all below

And then all was quiet
Everyone holding their breath
As the city took a collective sigh
Multitudes were hurt, young and old
Fires broke out like torches in the night

Explosions roared through the city
It was as if hell had taken over
Then people helped those less fortunate
As if angels came from heaven
And God was sending his love
