Please Don't Cry For Me
Please Don't Cry For Me
Why is everyone weeping?
Please don't cry for me
I am only sleeping
My soul has been set free
You know I volunteered
And I have no regrets
Please don't shed a tear
But also don't forget
The reason why I did it
I did it for you all
I never would say quit
It was my sacred call
I made so many friends
Who'd give their lives for me
The message I now send
Preserve our history
Don't let it be for not
I did it out of pride
Freedoms we have bought
Freedom's why I died
For those who do survive
The things they all go through
Please keep their dreams alive
Just like they did for you
So dry your teary eyes
I have some words for you
Nothing will capsize
The red, white and blue
