Inside Fear

I hear the door knob rattling
I know it's just the wind
It still gives me the creeps
like someone's trying to get in.

All the sounds around me
are giving me a scare
especially since I'm home alone
and not completely there.

I am just so tired
I need to get some rest
Feeling cold with goosebumps
I don't want to be a pest.

Like a ghost hovering above
following my lead
It is something I can't see
but the feeling's there indeed.

I want the thought to go away
along with all the fear
why would anybody watch me?
they don't belong here.
