Autumn's   Recital

Cotton  candy  clouds  against
 A  brilliant  blue  sky
Appear  close  enough  to
 Reach  out  and  touch

Red  and  yellow  leaves
Perform  a  dazzling
Dance  with  the  wind,  on
A  late  October  day

Squirrels  scurry  about
Gathering  nuts  for  survival
In  preparation  of  the  snows
Arrival

Fair  weather  fowl  take  their
Flight  south  as
The  cold  north  wind  whispers
Winter's  about  to  begin.
