 Take Hold, Be Still

At 53 you'd think you'd seen
The worst of things or so it seems
But heartache spares no one it's pain
This pain unseen and life it drains

Picture perfect at least in eyes
Now run with tears drowning our tries
To breathe again, my gasps now rule
Attempts where calm are dreams of fools

Desperate we sob where no one hears
This cry for help or so appears
The love that never did begin
To fill a void howling with winds

Pressed, depressed, desperate a voice
Calls out to us, rise up, rejoice
For I am here to crush what ails
Your soul undone, you will prevail

The need you seek I've kept and saved
To free the man that lives enslaved
You see my child for you we payed
Your debt in full, todays your day

Take my hand the one you thought
Was never there where you were taught
Apart from me, your very need
You failed but now you will succeed

Rebuild we will the path to take
My plans for you will soon take shape
Take hold, be still and you will see
All that I give, I give freely

I'll tend the wounds that you now bare
I'll heal the hurt your heart now wears
Just give me time to change these things
Abundantly, I'll pour my blessings

Take hold be still and you will know
That you are loved, forward we'll go
