 Carol's Journey

Flashbacks can often be so real
When you go through an ordeal
Dreams wake you up in the night
They bring you to tears and fright

Your life is one of ongoing pain
There is no hope for you to gain
It seems that there is just no end
But then you meet a new friend

She tells you God loves you
And that she greatly cares too
Sharing the Bible every day
She helps you find your way

You trusted in God as a child
Now everything has turned wild
What is your purpose in this life?
It seems you are filled with strife

She continues to love and reach out
Helping to displace all your doubt
By sharing how God gives her hope
You start to see there is a way to cope

Romans 15:13 (NIV)
May the God of hope fill you with all
joy and peace as you trust in him, so
that you may overflow with hope by the
power of the Holy Spirit.
