NOTES
The lucid notes of a piano
Wafting gently with the breeze
Those fulsome warming chords
Stirring evocatively with the leaves
With hypnotic pull of the clarinet
Bringing ecstasy to my ears
A shiver runs down my spine
As the sweet violin appears
Practise notes as the orchestra assemble
An odd collision of noise
A warm-up before the introduction
Rhythmic serenades to rejoice
The baton is tapped and attention
Is brought to the calm of the hall
A piercing silence is echoed
You could nearly hear a pin fall
Mozart at his proudest
Would have smiled as a symphony played
A standing ovation accompanied
His genius had not been betrayed
